[edit] What happened

Since I ended up being involved in this minor confusion, here's my account of what happened:

  1. SqueakBox nominated this article for deletion, saying it's redundant with Politics of Honduras.
  2. I pointed out there was no need to use VfD for that — SqueakBox could simply do a redirect.
  3. SqueakBox agreed, did the redirect, and withdrawed his nomination (by asking for an admin to close the discussion).
  4. I closed the VfD, since it was withdrawn (AFAIK admins are not needed to close simple cases).
  5. Wilfried Derksen reverted the page to a version without the redirect.

I believe this is not a VfD problem; it's just a normal discussion about where the content should go. The unanimous consensus was to keep (redirect and merge are just special cases of keep). If needed, the discussion can go to the talk pages. Wilfried Derksen did nothing wrong by reverting; there was no consensus then, since the VfD had been (albeit implicitly) withdrawn. --cesarb 00:26, 7 Apr 2005 (UTC)
