|
Please remember these guidelines when editing a film article:
- If a non-film article already exists with the name of the film that you are trying to create an article for, disambiguate and use (film) in the title: Film Title (film)
- When writing an article about a particular film, the general format should be a concise lead section, followed by a plot summary of no more than 900 words, production details, a cast list, a reception section, and references.
- Create an Infobox that tells all pertinent information about the film.

I do approve of limited merging, but NOT of the triple merge proposed with both List of films made into television programs and List of TV shows made into films. For one thing, List of films made into television programs is categorized with Series and spin-offs at the Lists of films page, while List of TV shows made into films is categorized with By source at the Lists of films page. I suggest instead that List of film spin-offs be replaced with a disambiguation page that points to both List of films made into television programs and List of TV shows made into films, and has its relevant content merged into those two respective articles, but NOT with those two articles merged with each other on top of everything.Mermaid from the Baltic Sea 17:06, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
