Talk:List of channels on Virgin TV
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Just a note to say, although I created this article I will not take responsibility for its future (though I may have a go at making the package info a bit better at some stage) - Lee Stanley 21:57, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] comparison page
Having looked at the more detailed List_of_channels_on_Sky_Digital_in_the_UK_and_Ireland which gives the encyption and subscription status of each channel, many of which are free; I think it would be useful to create a new page which compares the "free" status of virgin and sky channels, as there are lots of comparison pages on wikipedia so it's got a precedent. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.100.238.114 (talk) 00:48, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
- me again:
- Actually I think it would be even better to create a page comparing the free/encryption/subscription package status of channels on ALL the digital tv platforms including sky digital, virgin, freeview, topup-tv, tiscali tv, bt vision and any others I haven't thought of. This would not only be interesting to see what channels are there on each platform (and its free status or price[after looking it up]) but would help people make decisions on what platform to choose. -rw
[edit] "Key" section
This section sounds clumsy: All channels in M are included in L and XL All channels in L are included in XL but not M All channels in XL are not included in M or L Some channels in XL ARE included in M and L packages. There must be an easier way to explain the packaged. Something like: "There are 3 packages on offer, M, L and XL. All channels in M are included in L, and all channels in M and L are included in XL." 161.12.7.4 (talk) 14:05, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Your Punishment?
When I've been looking at the channels that are testing, somebody kept putting 'JJB sports channel' in the testing section. Don't put the channel on the section unless the channel is in the comfirmed section?. I've deleted that section so you'll learn your lesson.

- it has been confirmed by someone on xntl and xtw —Preceding unsigned comment added by Andrewcrawford (talk • contribs) 16:59, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

- JJB Sports TV is defiantly in testing (can't link to the engineers menu), this does not necessarily mean that the channel will be carried as Eurosport News was in full testing a while ago but a deal was not done and it was removed from the network. No source has been found to say that JJB have signed a deal to come to Virgin TV so it is not confirmed. I hope that you've now learned your lesson -- Jasmeet_181 (talk) 20:21, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
