Can include experimental technology, prototypes, or non-weapons projects that never got off the ground or past testing stages. For example, I've heard mention of a sonic gun that cause diarhea, a distant noise recieving microphone attachment for M16s, a "ration pill" that provides a meal's worth of calories and nutrients.

There are also plenty of projects that are still in the experimental phase and may remain there indefinitely, without being 100% cancelled. This includes stealth suits, tank force fields, and other technology briefly mentioned in science magazines or shows (but lacking solid details). Such things could go to a List of experimental military projects or List of military prototypes page, with entries being removed when actually deployed (the XM-8, for example).
