[edit] Why the title?

Hi, I started the article with the term "performers" rather than "bands" because some of the musicians are solo artists. Even though they perform with backing musicians, these musicians are not deemed to be part of the "official" band, in the sense that The Rolling Stones are a band. The solo performer uses five or six top session players, and then changes some of the members from time to time.OnBeyondZebrax (talk) 16:16, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
