[edit] History by field

The history by field section follows the structure and classification system used on the Lists of basic topics page, and provides a history link (leave the redlinks in place) for every basic list subject. --The Transhumanist 22:02, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Basic history concepts section

I've pruned and alphabetised the 'Basic history concepts' section. The stuff I removed was un-historical topics such as the Big Bang, Evolution, geological time periods, and the like, which are to do with the past, but not really history. If no-one objects, I'm going to remove the one-line definitions of the terms, since they are all linked to articles, and make the section into a 2- or 3-column list.
