[edit] Context
What is an official state amphibian?!. - Nabla 2005-07-07 21:13:13 (UTC)
It's an official state symbol, just like state bird, beverage, or whatever.
[edit] 2 states I didn't know about?
Are we talking offical U.S. States in the U.S. State Insignia lists.. or have Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands become offical states without my knowledge, as indictated in the Amphibian list. ~MoonDaughter
[edit] This can't be happening
How on earth did a gecko species end up on this list? It's not an amphibian, or a bird, or a fish, or anything else. It's a reptile. And according to the official State of Texas list[1], the state reptile is the horned lizard (an honest to god reptile).
[edit] Expanding Article
I going through the States Websites to verify the info on this list, where a state doesn't have an offical Symbols I am adding none. Also do we want to leave Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, or should this be for the 50 states only?—Preceding unsigned comment added by EpochDarkleaf (talk • contribs) 20:27, 9 April 2007
