[edit] Inaccuracy

I'm not confident that all the information here is correct or perfectly clear, especially regarding the Kirov plant. Part of the problem is that some names stuck with the institutions which were evacuated and sometimes moved again, while others stuck to the buildings and physical plant, which remained in place.
