[edit] Clearing needless single episode articles

Single episode articles do not need to exist for most series. Only certain shows of high regard (Simpsons, Dr. Who), that can have actual information, need them. An episode needs to be capable of having more than just a plot summary; along with a nice, concise plot summary, they need to have at least well sourced development, and reception sections. Examples of this can be found here, here, and in any of the episode articles here. Obviously, they won't just pop up for every episode article, but it is easy to tell that this is very unlikely to happen for this series. I plan on doing this in five days if no concerns are brought up. If they are brought up, I will address them. Nemu 19:33, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

I don't really feel like typing that much so if another argument comes up I will go in more detail. These episodes deserve their own article. Wikipedia is a growing set of documents. You cannot merely state that because another article does not have they same type of information, that another article should not have this information.Rlk89 01:19, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Production Code

Please under stand that production code involves the order in which the episodes were produced and not the Order in which they aired.Rlk89 01:10, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Season 5?

Hey everyone, On the list of episodes someone has put a "season 5". Does anyone know if this is true? And if so, Please put this on the main article, with a cited source. Thankyou, Mrx9898 02:19, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Episode notability

All of the episodes of this series fail the notability guidelines for television episodes. The way for these articles to be improved is through the inclusion of real-world information from reliable sources to assert notability. That is unlikely to happen, and these only have certain bad aspects (though all may not apply) like containing overly long or one sentence plot summaries, trivia, and quotes. Per that, they need to be a small part of this list.

If there are no objections, these will be redirected soon. Otherwise, discussion will take place here. Please remember that this is not a vote. If you like the information, that's fine and dandy, but your opinion doesn't really count towards anything. The only opinions that do count are ones that that lean towards the inclusion of real world information. TTN 20:56, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Merger proposal

I'm going to ask TTN (who is hopefully watching this page) to not do the merge right now. I'd like to assess the state of the articles. While I agree that many of them are not notable on their own, there are a large number of them which may take some time to look at. Yngvarr (t) (c) 21:17, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

It'll probably be a couple of weeks before I get back to this one. TTN 21:26, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
Ok, I'm going to start merging some of the single episodes into short synopses here. I'm going to wait a little while, tho, just to give time for discussion, if any arises. Yngvarr (t) (c) 00:10, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
This is done, I've deleted the template and CSD'ed the now-empty category.
I've also converted the article to use the {{Episode list}} template. It's a better template to use, and will make it easier for editors to understand, rather than the generic wikitable. I copied as much of the original episode descriptive text, but there should still be enough room in the short description parameter for additional text. Yngvarr (t) (c) 12:48, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

I restored the "Trash-O-Madness" ep as I found real world information about its production. WhisperToMe (talk) 10:01, 11 December 2007 (UTC) EDIT: Did it with Wacky Delly too - Had to include the stuff about the Meatloaf scene. WhisperToMe (talk) 10:26, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

No argument from me. I recently found a few mentions of awards, which would also permit restoring the respective episodes:
  • 1993 Daytime Emmy award for "Outstanding Achievement in Film Sound Editing"
  • 1996 Environmental Media Awards for the episode Zanzibar
Unfortunately, I could not search neither of their databases, and the only references appear to be on IMDB at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106115/awards, and a number of Google hits which would appear to verify this. I'm hesitant to add it directly to the article, because I would prefer to have the official database link rather than IMDB, but it seems that neither of them are directly searchable. I found the Emmy site, so I will see if I can find the stuff... - I found the Camp Lazlo award in the Primetime Awards search but I could not find anything about Rocko in this. Lemme see if there is a Daytime Awards search. http://www.emmys.tv/awards/awardsearch.php - EDIT: I found the daytime homepage, but all of the images are broken - Let me see if I can find it here: http://www.emmyonline.org/emmy/daytime.html WhisperToMe - EDIT: For some reason the Emmy sites make it a pain to try to search for older Daytime awards. Maybe a PDF in the Daytime site contains it, but maybe we should contact these guys and ask them to place the info there. WhisperToMe (talk) 04:19, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

Also, regarding the other two episodes, perhaps I should see if I can find more third party information about the production :) WhisperToMe (talk) 04:19, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

If you can find more information, that should be fine, but the current info really isn't enough for a full article. Also, awards help establish notability, but a single sentence cannot hold up an article. If you can only find the awards, they should be placed in this article or in a specific section of the main article. TTN (talk) 16:37, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
I found some more information regarding the roles of some staff members. WhisperToMe (talk) 08:56, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

I found a work that discusses awards/nominations, but I have incomplete information: Talk:Rocko's_Modern_Life#Award_mention_in_an_almanac_-_But_what_is_it_about.3F WhisperToMe (talk) 06:17, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Martin Olson and the comic book

I'll re-check the comic, but I do not remember any text mentioning Olson specifically. WhisperToMe (talk) 03:27, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
