[edit] TV Episodes

Don't know why i'm bothering to help, but a special episode is missing from the season 1, the flash back episode, which was aired and does contain a small amount of original content so should be listed here as an episode.

Also, the 2 new anniversary specials need to be added. --Zeal Vurte (talk) 14:09, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

You mean episode 12.5? It is listed under season 1 between episodes 12 and 13. Anniversary specials do need to be added but I cannot do this myself. I have not acquired them. -- Cat chi? 14:32, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
Ah sorry, didn't realize at what point it aired, expected to see it listed near the end :p --Zeal Vurte (talk) 12:40, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
Well i added the details for the new episodes, the only thing missing is the summary. The episodes are an exact match for chapters 155-166, just Bell and Keiichi gained a few extra bits of dialogue really and some scenes happened out of order (though these do not effect the ordering of the story at all). --Zeal Vurte (talk) 13:22, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Updating the list

Given all the problems in the past, this may be difficult. But I was wondering if it was possible to bring this back up to Featured List standard, as there was so much good work put into the list (and I've been finding it really useful lately as well). I'm uncertain whether the lack of episode articles is a knock-down argument or not, and I did read the previous debate which had the episode articles redirected, so I'm not sure where to go on that side. I read the reasons for delisting, though, and other than the lack of links all of them can be easily addressed. So while this may not get back the Featured List status, it should still be better as a result of addressing the concerns.

One problem is to do with consistency. I was thinking that it might be nice to convert it to a single look-and-feel for all of the series (the OVA is different, as is the movie). That then raised the issue as to which one. I noticed that there had been good reasons for using Template:List of Anime Episodes TV rather than Template:Japanese episode list, but in the interests of internal consistency it seems that there are four choices: use List of Anime Episodes TV consistently throughout, change to Japanese episode list, or go with a sortable list (as per List of Rental Magica episodes. The four options are therefore:

Each has different pluses and minuses - for example, both the Japanese episode lists do a poor job of handling things when there is no summary, and are actually quite big for the volume of data displayed. List of Anime Episodes TV makes better use of space, but may also feel more cluttered. Finally sortable lists aren't normally used for anime articles, and they have to make sacrifices in order to work with the sorting code (which is understandable - I think I'd find it challenging, to say the least, to write generic code that can support multi-row entries).

Sorry if I'm just opening old issues that would be better off left alone - I'm new to this, (at least to the anime side), so I'm happy if others just want to let this sit, especially given the nature of the history. But it did give me an excuse to learn about template coding. :) - Bilby (talk) 12:00, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

I'll vote for List of Anime Episodes TV. I think a U.S. release date should also be included (possibly in a list of media). Argel1200 (talk) 16:21, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
