Talk:List of Nova Scotia rivers

[edit] Inadequate method

It is an inadequate method to name these rivers by their watershed. Some rivers (such as Halfway River) do not flow into bays, but rather lakes (such as Newville Lake). Therefore these rivers should be listed by source (such as Cobequid Mountains). Psyklek 15:27, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Well, the Atlas of Canada also lists rivers by watershed, see this page. I've never seen them grouped by source. --Qyd 15:52, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I see what you mean. Perhaps it could be possible to create a "Waterways of Nova Scotia" or something similar so that rivers, lakes, etc. are all included. Psyklek 19:01, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
You could create a List of lakes in Nova Scotia with content from List of lakes in Canada#Nova Scotia (and leave just the largest ones there). I did that with List of lakes in Alberta. There's also a List of lakes in Ontario. --Qyd 19:08, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
I like the idea, but it still doesn't acknowledge the limitations on inland rivers. Psyklek 19:11, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
