Talk:List of NME covers

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is derisory. Someone needs to expand this so it's got several years of entries. I can't because I am not a regular reader of NME, and I do not keep old issues. --poorsodtalk 11:59, 30 December 2006 (UTC) Yes Agreed any help filling in the gaps would be appriciated.

I improved it somewhat and put some gaps in where I couldn't find the cover. Still needs a lot of work. User:Saveourcitytalk 05.04, 05 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Chronological ordering

According to the Wikipedia:Manual of Style (lists of works)

Items should be listed in chronological order of production, earliest first.

Would there be any objection if I re-list the earliest issue first? MegX 23:32, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:White Stripes NME.jpg

Image:White Stripes NME.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Excessively long list

This article is excessively long. I've broken the earlier section into a new page to manage the length, as the newer issues will naturally continue to grow. TheClashFan (talk) 00:19, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

Agreed. MegX (talk) 00:24, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] What To Do?

Should the article be put into a table? Categories being issue number, date, artist and additional infomation? This would take sometime to complete however i feel it would be worth the effort.(86.160.198.158 (talk) 20:03, 11 May 2008 (UTC))
