Talk:List of Mongol Khans

Is the birthdate for Genghis Khan correct?

That is not his birthdate, but rather the date at which Temüjin was acknowledged as the Genghis Khan, or "Universal Ruler"[1]. Regarding his actual birthdate, though, there is no concrete source. Scholars tend to cite 1162, but 1155 and 1167 have also been asserted[2]. There seems to be a lack of first-hand evidence. Milkfoam 03:13, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

Mamai was never khan of Golden Horde in Russia. He was de facto. So I removed his name from the list.
