If one can improve WP, why not just do it without long passages denigrating others? Otherwise, you are right: it is better to hold back.

[edit] "Illegal" immigration topics

There appear to be several overlapping articles on the subject of illegal/clandestine immigration to Israel during the British mandate. I'd like to clean this up and organize it. Anyone care to join in? Also, feel free to follow the expansion of Sh'erit ha-Pletah. It will be followed of a corresponding restructure of DP Camp, which will then be made more general for all groups that became DPs. --Leifern 20:45, 20 December 2005 (UTC)

Count me in, if you're still looking for collaborators. I'm quite savvy on the DP camps, Ha-Berihah (sorry about the redlink; haven't found whether/where the topic exists), Ha'apala, etc., and can do some amount of library research.

Am wondering if we might do this in conjunction with the Jewish History WikiProject? I'm new there (and to Wikipedia in general, for that matter :-) and think it might be appropriate and/or effective to work under that umbrella (if you have no objections, of course!)

For example, I'll suggest listing Sh'erit ha-Pletah there under Discussion > Announcements > Articles in need of attention. (I won't do so till I see your response; same rationale as above :-)

Since then, I've reworked the articles in question, so they're not in need of as much attention as they used to be. But of course they can certainly be improved. I've noticed that the German version of Wikipedia has a more complete list of DP camps. --Leifern 02:51, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
