[edit] List

The list of indictees currently contains 86 of the 161 indictees. I would like to expand it to a complete listing but wonder if it shouldn't be moved onto its own page. Any opinions? Rmhermen 15:27, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

The list now contains 147 names - the same number as on the drop down list at ICTY Indictments. Are the rest, some 14, still under sealed indictments? Rmhermen 15:08, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
Most of the rest either had their indicments withdrawn or died. There should only be 2 or 3 still missing from the list. Rmhermen 15:54, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
I found one more name and recounted - I think the list is complete now. Rmhermen 16:32, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
I was Bold and moved the list to List of ICTY indictees. Rmhermen 16:58, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

I have made a few updates to those who were captured in 2005 during the big spree of indictees turning themselves in. The link to Balkans Cooperation on War Crimes link, under references, lists many individuals that have been turned in to the Hague but have not been updated on this page. [edit] whereabouts of indictees at large

[1] NEW YORK, United States -- In her regular report to the UN Security Council on Wednesday (7 June), UN war crimes tribunal chief prosecutor Carla del Ponte requested that the Hague tribunal be given authority to arrest six war crimes suspects who remain at large. She said Ratko Mladic, Zdravko Tolimir, Goran Hadzic and Stojan Zupljanin are believed to be in Serbia, adding that information also links Serbia to the cases of Radovan Karadzic, whose whereabouts are not known, and Vlastimir Djordjevic, believed to hiding in Russia.

[edit] alphabetical sorting

I agree with alphabetical sorting (of last names). I just didn't notice before it was sorted in this way because last names are written after first names. Lakinekaki 20:35, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

This may be an annoying change to make, but does anyone think the table should be split into categories such as "guilty, innocent, at large, etc....?"

I prefer the alphabetic list - especially as many of the trials are not completed yet. And I means much less to change when one needs updating. Rmhermen 17:30, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] There are no indictees without indictments

The list of ICTY indictees is very useful, but shouldn't the link to the indictments be made directly off the list instead of at the link discussing the individuals themselves? And actually, there should be lists of the indictments too with lists of indictees for each indictment. At the very least, the Indictments column should include a link to the actual indictment document.

This is my first wikipedia post, can I assume that I could create such list of indictments and post it? Or, could I edit the current list to include those links?PaulPk 20:11, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
