Talk:List of Hutsuls

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I have not found no mention in ukrainian publication that composer Ciprian Porumbescu was an Hutsul. Ruslana not Hutsuls though she has done the big contribution to culture of Hutsuls. Can be follows renaming list in List of figures of Hutsulshchyna . And include ethnic Hutsuls and Famous figures of Hutsulshchyna (Sergei Parajanov, Ruslana Lyzhichko, Ivan Mykolaychuk, actor, performer role Ivan in Parajanov's film "The Shadows of forgotten ancestors" (Тіні забутих предків)). In article to leave only ethnic Hutsuls. --Yakudza 11:29, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

I think list of Hutsuls is more inetersting the list of natives of Hutsulshchyna. Hutsulshchyna is a region of Ukraine were Hutsuls are not a majority in any way. During the Soviet times, people moved all around the USSR, including in/to/from Ukraine and as such in/to/from Hutsulshchyna. If Ruslana isn't of Hutsul ethnic group. She doesn't belong to the list of Hutsul and that's the end of it. There is nothing wrong with having a separate list of Natives of Hutsulshchyna if there are users who want to compile it. My point is that List of Hutsuls is important by itself and should be kept as such. --Irpen 11:40, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
