[edit] Islands of the Four Mountains

I added this group because I know that it's commonly overlooked. But I have to admit that I couldn't remember the actual names (or number) of the islands in this group. What I've put here (Chuginadak, Carlisle Island, and Herbert Island) I got off of an online article[1]. By no means do I vouch for its comprehensiveness or even necessarily accuracy. But I didn't want to have a "group" that was empty--looked like it would be begging for a deletion. Unschool 03:19, 27 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Renaming Links to include "(Aleutian Islands)"

I changed the format of some links that were either wrong or pointed nowhere to include "(Aleutian Islands)". I only changed 1/3 of the links, so if someone is working on this page and dislikes my changes please protest! If no one protests I'll proceed with changing links in a couple of days.

Btw. how does one rename articles? This would be the following step. eike 28.05.06

I finally did big the renaming I announced!

  • I renamed all remaining dead links now to include the characters "(Aleutian Islands)".
  • I also looked at the page of each island, when it existed. I changed a couple of links that pointed to unrelated Islands or to disambiguation pages.
  • Fire_Island_(Aleutian_Islands) got an own (stub) page. I just copied the information from the quite informative disambiguation page.
  • I did some more small changes.
  • I won't move any pages as it is much work, as one needs to update all links pointing to the moved page.

I hope I didn't annoy anyone with these series of changes.

[edit] Aleut Place Names

I've added the Aleut place names in brackets behind on this page. Normally one would put them only on the main page, I know, but there are so many stubs and islands without pages here that it's probably better for the time being to just add them here. If anyone has a better idea do let me know but please don't just go and delete them ; ) --Akerbeltz 17:48, 11 January 2008 (UTC)]
