[edit] "Alloy is a misnomer" how?

I'd like to know just how "Gundanium is not technically an alloy; it contains non-ferrous metals and non-metallic elements", when the definition of "alloy" ON WIKIPEDIA is "a homogeneous mixture of two or more elements, at least one of which is a metal, and where the resulting material has metallic properties" (BTW, by the same definition, it may have ONLY SOME metallic properties).
