Talk:List of AMD Duron microprocessors
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Made a start, by adding the most recent Duron microprocessors.
I have reverted the changes made by Special:Contributions/202.163.74.216 as all the external links point to the original date being correct. Mhowkins 14:40, 3 Oct 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Duron MP?
At BOINC I saw a PC that reported as a dual CPU machine with "AuthenticAMD AMD Duron(tm) MP [x86 Family 6 Model 7 Stepping 0]". Might be one with modified bridges - or it is missing in the list. -- 81.173.135.223 02:12, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] There seems to be discrepancy between the Article and the Real World
(1) I have a Duron 996 microprocessor. I don't see that model listed in the article.
(2) The reported frequency in both XP and Norton Utilities is not 996. It's only 667 Megahertz, which is typical of how AMD operates (naming their processors with higher numbers than the actual clock speed).
In my opinion somebody with more expertise should review this article's processor names and clock speeds to verify the validity of what is being reported. ---- Theaveng (talk) 16:06, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
