List of spans
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
For the largest spans of bridges, see List of largest suspension bridges.
The following is a list of remarkable spans, either used for powerline crossings of rivers, sea straits or valleys, as antenna or for aerial tramways.
This list is incomplete; you can help by expanding it.

[edit] Powerline spans in mountainous areas requiring shorter pylons
These spans', pylons are situated on the tops of mountains, so the topography determines the height of the lines. Because of this it is possible that the span pylons can be higher than the height of the line at point of largest sag.
