• SS Viking  Canada exploded and sank off Horse Islands. Twenty seven crew killed.

• HMS Poseidon  United Kingdom collided with SS Yula  China off Weihai. Twenty two crew killed.

• IJN Chitose  Japan scuttled of Kochi.

• SS Lyminge  United Kingdom ran aground on Ebal Rocks of Gurnard's Head. Crew and passengers rowed ashore, Ship's cat rescued later.^[1]
