List of cities in South Africa

There are officially nine cities in South Africa (members of the South African cities network). These cities are not necessarily capital cities of the nine provinces. These are:
- Cape Town, Western Cape
- Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape
- East London, Eastern Cape
- Durban, KwaZulu-Natal
- Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal
- Bloemfontein, Free State
- Johannesburg, Gauteng
- Pretoria, Gauteng
- East Rand, Gauteng
- Polokwane, Limpopo
