[edit] Notes

  • Remix albums often feature newly recorded content in addition to remixes - classification as a "remix album" is based on what the bulk of the album includes and what it is promoted as. For instance, Blood on the Dance Floor: HIStory in the Mix by Michael Jackson features 8 remixes (from Jackson's HIStory album) and 5 new songs.
  • The sales for janet. Remixed have also been estimated as 250,000 units [14]. Certifications globally are 123,900 units.
  • Paula Abdul's "Shut Up And Dance: Mixes" released in 1990 was RIAA certified platinum for US sales of 1 million [15]
