This is a list of episodes for Gunsmoke, the longest-running drama in the history of television. Gunsmoke was broadcast by CBS for 20 years (September 10, 1955-March 31, 1975). The series consists of 635 shows total.[1] The episodes were 30 minutes long during the first six seasons, but were expanded to 60 minutes for seasons 7-20. Additionally seasons 1-11 were in black and white, while the remainder of the series was in color.
