List of Ellen episodes
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is a list of all episode titles from the 1990s sitcom, Ellen, made by the ABC network and which aired from March 29, 1994 to July 22, 1998. A total of 109 episodes were aired. 11 were aired in season one, 24 in season two, 27 in season three, 25 in season four and 22 in season five.
In 1997, Ellen made television history when Ellen, the character, came out as a lesbian in the famous "Puppy Episode." (DeGeneres herself had come out earlier that year on The Oprah Winfrey Show and in TIME.) The revelation ignited a storm of controversy, prompting ABC to place a parental advisory at the beginning of each episode.
