List of Death Note chapters

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is the complete list of every chapter of the Death Note manga, written by Tsugumi Ohba and drawn by Takeshi Obata. The series primarily centers around a high school student who decides to rid the world of evil with the help of a supernatural notebook that kills anyone whose name is written in it.

The Death Note manga series was originally serialized by Shueisha in Weekly Shonen Jump from the first issue in December 2003 to May 2006, with 108 chapters in total. The series has been published in its entirety in 12 graphic novels in Japan. Eventually, Death Note was licensed for American publication by VIZ Media and began to be released in October 2005.

In keeping with the notebook theme, the issues of the Original japanese version of the manga are labeled as "pages" rather than "chapters." The issues are labeled as "chapters" in the English-language Viz manga releases.

DEATH NOTE HOW TO READ 13 1 October 13, 2006 February 19, 2008

HOW TO READ contains much data relating to the series, including character profiles of almost every character that is named, a special sealed card that features L's true name in a stylized rendition of how a person with a Shinigami's eyes would see it, creator interviews, behind the scenes info for the series and the pilot chapter that preceded Death Note. It is the most recent resource relating to the series, and is often quoted when there are disputes regarding the series, such as the spellings of certain names in English. The book has also been released in Chinese in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea and Singapore.

In the North American version of Shonen Jump (Issue # 56, August 2007), it was announced that "How To Read" was going to be published in English and released in February of 2008.

The special first edition release of Death Note: How To Read 13 could be purchased with a Death Note themed diorama which includes five finger puppets inspired by Near's toys. The five finger puppets are Kira, L, Misa, Mello, and Near.
