Lisa Thon is a fashion designer born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. After graduating from high school, Thon started her fashion studies at Altos de Chavón in Dominican Republic and completed her Bachelors Degree at Parsons School of Design in New York City.
In 1996, Lisa established not only brand recognition but opend her store and Fashion Design School in San Juan, Puerto Rico. They are actually located at 992 Muñoz Rivera Avenue, one of the most commercial avenues of the island and a few blocks from the University of Puerto Rico.
Singers and actresses[who?] have been dressed by Lisa for special events, editorials, magazine covers, CDs portraits and music videos. She has also been awarded by the IXA Awards the ¨Designer of the Year 2004¨and ¨School of the Year 2004¨at the Paoli Awards.[citation needed] Thon presented her first collection to the American market at the Midtown Exhibition Center in Parsons New School for Design on September 2005. Lisa, then showed her Spring-Summer 2007 collection to be presented in Olympus Fashion Week on September 2006. Now she will be presenting her new collection as part of the New York Fashion Week on 6 September 2007, on Bryant Park Grill.
