Lisa Kay

Lisa Kay is an English actress, born 1972[citation needed] to Hazel and Peter Kay. She grew up in Levisham on the North Yorkshire Moors, and has two sisters, Samantha and Sara.

Lisa first trained as a dancer, and performed professionally as such in stage shows for some time. She then retrained as an actor at the Bristol Old Vic with considerable distinction, and has appeared in a wide range of roles on the stage and in television. Currently she is a leading member of the cast of ITV1's Heartbeat (October 2006 onwards), playing Nurse Carol Cassidy. Her childhood village of Levisham is close to Goathland where the show is filmed.
