Did Liquid TV morph out of another MTV show. I remember watching such hits as Dog Boy before 1990. I had been in a discussion recently about seeing Liquid TV somewhere around 1986 or '87. Can someone help me figure this out? Thanks in advance.

[edit] Exactly what caused the demise of MTV
