Due to the historical significance of the original Lionel Corporation and the vehement allegiance of its fans, I propose breaking the article in two, the first to cover the original Lionel Corporation era, and the second to cover the General Mills - Lionel, LLC era. --Gary D 07:25, 15 Jul 2004 (UTC)

That would probably make things a little less confusing, although the 1969-2004 era will be a much shorter article. I'll see if I can get a chance to break the article later today. --Dave Farquhar 13:47, 15 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Good job! I think this really works better, representing the true state of corporate affairs more accurately and allowing for unambiguous use of the "defunct companies" category. --Gary D 19:52, 15 Jul 2004 (UTC)

We have a train collection that has been given to us. There are some that are from before 1969. How do we determine the value of the trains?

Wasn't Neil Young heavily involved in the company in the Kughn era? I read a biography of Neil and he obviously held some shares and took a lively interest in the design of the trains and their electronic sound emulation. Strausszek August 23, 2006 04:40 (CET)
