An oft repeated claim is that Gardiner's daughter was the first white woman in New York. A correction on the article posted today notes Sarah Rapelyea in Albany, New York, was the first white woman. I googled it and found confirmation. I'm taking off the sentence. Americasroof 21:21, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
