Talk:Lincoln mystery plays
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Relation to N-town
There are a number of problems with the current article.
- It is a group performing a modern revival, this should be the focus of the article
- The N-town plays (is thought to) originate in East Anglia, they were not related to any particular town - esp. not Lincoln (although it's at the top of the range of where they would be performed)
- Also known as Coventry plays, Hegge plays, etc.
- The article mixes up all the mystery plays, there are four extant cycles, they are distinct texts with distinct performance histories.
There should be an N-town article to complement the existing mystery play articles, this isn't it, but the group is worth their own article. Kbthompson 08:01, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
