Talk:Limbeck
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Is there a new lead singer? His voice doesn't sound the same from album to album, maybe it's me. In before 02:50, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
This is ridiculous - a limbeck is an alchemist's distilling flask..not a band. The title of this page should be 'Limbeck (band).

That would be a 'limbec', not a limbeck. No need to change the title...

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Limbeckst.jpg
Image:Limbeckst.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 00:31, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Potential libelous information about drummer Jon Phillip
As you will notice from the history of this page, and also from that of The Benjamins, Jon Phillip is repeatedly accused of various unpaid child support to a child in Wisconsin. I have no personal interest in this story on either side, but the information is completely unsourced, and is continually added and removed. I would recommend that further continuous adding should lead to a semi-protected page.Buddyholly4 21:30, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
The information is not libelous, as it is not false. Family court documents, Medicaid documents, WI Child support enforcement documents, all can be produced. Nothing negative has been said about Jon Phillip nor has a personal attack been made.Facts are facts, and if you perceive abandoning a child to be a personal attack, so be it. TO some individuals, leaving children scattered around the country is a sign of machismo or virility. Regardless, negative perception of facts (ie, child abuse occurs) is not a statement of belief regarding said fact (ie, child abuse is acceptable) STOP CENSORSHIP!! FREE SPEECH!144.92.2.131
I'm not enough of an authority on wikipedia to say why this is wrong, but I still do not agree with it being included on the page. If we were to include everyone's personal and family court records, then the site would be useless. However, on that note, I am done trying to control this problem. I have requested page protection and it was denied, so you can keep having editing wars with whomever wants to pick this up next. Sorry for the situation, but this isn't going to fix anything Buddyholly4 04:04, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] New Keyboard/Percussionist?
Does anyone know who the new keyboard and percussionist that limbeck is using on tour is?
Letsgetcustard 23:48, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
That would be Mr. Casey Prestwood (spencer? WTF was i on when i added this...). AKA Spacey Casey. he has toured with them previously and plays guitar, pedal steel, and organ. He is also a snappy dresser.

[edit] Where is 'Limbeck'?
Where is studio album #4 Limbeck? It continues to amaze me that it isn't on here.
71.79.229.17 04:08, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
The 4th studio album was put up on this page, but I believe someone removed it a while back because there was no evidence that the image of the album cover was being used legally. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.138.146.124 (talk) 17:19, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
