“Like a Prayer” (1991) is a video produced by DIVA-TV that documents the demonstrations at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Manhattan in 1989, in which AIDS activists protested New York Cardinal O'Connor’s position on AIDS and contraception. A man dressed up as Jesus serves as the narrator for this irreverent and highly subjective piece. The documentary shows the mass media bias as it juxtaposes original protest footage with those images shown on the nightly news.
