Lightning Novices' Chase

The Lightning Novices' Chase is a Grade 2 National Hunt chase in the United Kingdom for five-year-old and above novices. It is run over a distance of 2 miles and 1 furlong (3,420 metres) at Ascot Racecourse in January. There are thirteen fences to be jumped in the race.
Prior to the 2004-06 redevelopment of Ascot Racecourse the distance of the race was 2 miles and there were twelve fences to jump.
