[edit] A point you might want to think about...

Hi there. If you are indeed closely connected with the Liberal Party (or are a political professional of any stripe) be aware that there has been considerable controversy about politicians, or political staffers, editing entries related to their colleagues or opponents. User:DarrenRay managed to get himself banned in the process of editing; User:Adam Carr has decided that, to avoid bad perceptions of himself and his boss, has decided to avoid editing articles on serving Australian politicians (despite a long record of excellent contribution).

At the very least (on the basis of your name reflecting your occupation), I would suggest that rather than articles about yourself or your colleagues directly, if you have a concern with a particular article you should comment on its discussion page. If there are serious problems that aren't being dealt with, ask on the Wikipedia:Australian Wikipedians' notice board; while I'll be honest and say the majority of prominent Australian Wikipedians sit somewhere on the left of the political spectrum, we are all committed to the NPOV policy and want the fairest, most factually accurate, and all-round best articles we can have. Also note that we aim (not that it is always achieved) to have all material verifiable from reliable sources; your undocumented personal recollections are not sufficient evidence for a Wikipedia article. --Robert Merkel 00:08, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Peter McGauran

Can you please provide an appropriate reference in line with Wikipedia:Verifiability for "McGauran is believed to be in the process of writing a book of poetry. The subject of these poems is as yet unidentified, though sources close to the man suggest he has an interest in the eldritch and macabre.". I have not deleted your text but if it is to remain references need to be provided. If you have any questions relating to this please feel free to contact me on my talk page. Thanks, michael talk 07:25, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Three revert rule...

Wikipedia has a three revert rule. If you revert the Malcolm Turnbull article again you may be blocked temporarily from editing.

You've received a lot of friendly advice, but if you continue to act against long-standing Wikipedia policy the friendship will start to get sorely tested...--Robert Merkel 01:05, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Cantenna.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Cantenna.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

[edit] Kevin Mitchell and Ihsahn

Could you please provide some references for the statement that Kevin Mitchell is a fan of Ihsahn?

Thanks your work will help ensure Wikipedia stays accurate.

[edit] Edits to Ganesha

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism, and if you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the hard work of others. Thank you. Sfacets 05:37, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Freedom Force

Hey there. I just noticed that you completely revamped the Freedom Force disambiguation page. This is not a great thing to do, because right now it means that anyone who's looking for some other meaning of the words can't find those articles at all. Accordingly, I have reverted your changes and suggest that you recreate your work (you can find it in its entirety from the article history, so you don't need to retype anything -- you can just cut and paste that material) in a more appropriately named article, such as Freedom Force (political organization), and then a link to that to the disambiguation page. In the future, you should not change disambiguation pages like that, at least not without some discussion about the subject, because they are vital to navigating Wikipedia. -- Captain Disdain 00:50, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
