Talk:Library reference desk
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article was originally titled, Help desk (library), then Library help desk. In libraries where I have worked, we call this the Reference desk or Information desk. (Actually, one library had both an Information desk staffed by a non-professional and a Reference desk staffed by someone with a Master's degree for handling different types of questions.)
These are the terms used in the Los Angeles area and most of the United States, as far as I've heard, but I resist changing the title until I know whether we're outnumbered by the rest of the English-speaking world.

Hi there,
in a seminar course at the University of Applied Sciences in Stuttgart (Germany) we had the following project: We wrote an article about digital reference services. Is there a possibility to add this aspect as a link so that we can start a new page with our text? Thank you!
At the very bottom of the article Library, someone added a link to a nonexistent article Cybrary. You might want to replace this word with Digital reference services, which I think is a more useful term, and write your article. GUllman 19:30, 29 Jun 2004 (UTC)
