LIBRARY PAGE
A job in the United States library system. Pay usually starts out minimum wage.
JOBS
- Shelving books
- Cleaning up the library
- Odd tasks assigned by librarians/clerks
- In certain libraries across the US, it is the page's job to search for a bomb if there is a bomb threat called in. There is even a bomb threat manual that teaches pages proper searching techniques.
The Do's and Dont's of being a library patron.
DO ask for help politely
DON'T be rude to the pages/clerks/librarians
DO put books/movies back where you got them (BUT many libraries would rather re-shelve items themselves to avoid errors which can lose an item forever)
DON'T leave items lying around
DO be courteous to others around you
DON'T stand in the middle of the aisle blocking others
DO take a bath before coming to the library
DON'T leave your screaming child unattended
