[edit] Why is Liberalism a subcategory of conservatism?

Why is liberalism a subcategory of conservatism? How does that make sense? "Liberal conservatism" could be a subcategory of liberalism and of conservatism, but how can liberalism be a subcategory of conservatism? Surely a very odd idea. Tamino 14:58, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
