Liaoxipterus (meaning "Liaoxi wing", after the discovery locality) was a genus of ctenochasmatid pterodactyloid pterosaur from the Barremian-Aptian-age Lower Cretaceous Jiufotang Formation of Chaoyang, Liaoning, China. It is based on CAR-0018, an almost complete lower jaw, which differs from all other ctenochasmatids in its short teeth and low tooth count (11 per side). [1]
