Lianne Morgan-Davies (born Lianne Morgan, 15 November 1970, Cowbridge, Cardiff, Wales) is a singer, songwriter and one of the original auditionees to become one of the Spice Girls. She auditioned back in 1994 for the then called "Touch" band, dancing a dance routine of Eternal song Just a step from heaven and singing a Motown song and "The Rose", and was picked initially alongside Michelle Stephenson, Melanie Brown, Victoria Adams and Geri Halliwell but after one month she received a letter in which she was told she would more suit a solo career and looked older than the others, so she was replaced with Melanie C.
Morgan-Davies is currently working on an album with Greg Haver (record producer of Manic Street Preachers, Catatonia and Lost Prophets)[citation needed]. Having just completed the first half of the album, she is now preparing for a UK tour and industry showcase[citation needed].
