Level of Effort

In Project Management, Level of Effort (LOE) is qualified as a support type activity which doesn't lend itself to measurement of a discrete accomplishment. Examples of such an activity may be project budget accounting, customer liaison, etc.
LOE is used to define amount of work performance within a period of time and is measured in man days or man hours.
LOE estimation is one of the primary tasks of a project manager.
