Levance Fields

Levance E. Fields (born June 14, 1987) is a college basketball player for the University of Pittsburgh Panthers. He hails from Brooklyn, NY and attended the prestigious basketball school Xaverian High School.
Fields was named New York Player of the Year by the New York Daily News and Newsday. He currently finished his sophomore season as the starting point guard for Pitt. He averaged 9.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game for the Panthers in 2006-07.
Fields missed two free throws at the end of regulation in the Panthers' 2007 NCAA second-round tournament game against Virginia Commonwealth University, forcing the game into overtime. Fields later redeemed himself by hitting a key three-pointer in the extra period, helping the Panthers to the Sweet 16, where they would later lose to UCLA and former Pitt coach Ben Howland.

Fields currently dates Pitt Panthers women's basketball star Marcedes Walker.[1] He was arrested and jailed on September 16, 2007, on charges that he assaulted a police officer outside Pure nightclub in Pittsburgh's Strip District. [2]
