That song was not used in 1986. It was used at the beginning of Mets telecasts in either 1981 or 1982; of this, I am certain. I remember clearly, because I REALLY liked the song. They also played it before the Mets games at Shea Stadium in the same year that it was used as the television theme song. I know for a FACT that the Mets did not use this song in 1986.
