Do we have any more detail on Reed as a Watford player? The Watford Who's Who doesn't hold any mention of him. There is, though, a possibility that he was sgned with us and didn't play, as I believe the book doesn't include them. HornetMike 15:16, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

I don't want to do all the wading myself, but there seems to be a fair few articles on him here, most of which are oldish, and may contain some mention. Or maybe he's just one of those types who was unremarkable as a player, such as our old friend José Mário dos Santos Mourinho Félix. :) --Dreaded Walrus 15:34, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
In an attempt to find out his date of birth (to fill in the gap in List of English Football League managers by date of appointment) I checked my copy of The PFA Premier & Football League Players' Records 1946-1998, but there is no mention of any Les Reed playing League football (nor any other Reed playing for the three clubs involved). So I can only conclude that while he might have been on the clubs' books he never actually played a League match for them. Qwghlm 13:03, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

This article's hardly NPOV, is it? 121.44.74.124 03:04, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "Eggman" nickname

I've removed Eggman from the nicknames, simply because a Google search comes up with a mere 3 unique sites (excluding Wikipedia mirrors and things not to do with this Les Reed). So while it may be used, I don't personally feel it is widespread enough for inclusion, I would say. Especially when compared to the seemingly comparatively high number of results for the newly-added Uncle Les --Dreaded Walrus 19:11, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
