Lesley Rumball

Lesley Rumball (nee Nicol) is a former New Zealand netball player. She was co-captain with Bernice Mene of the New Zealand Silver Ferns from, 1999-2001, 2003-2004 and Vice-Captain in 1998, 2002 and 2005. She played her domestic netball for the Southern Sting in the National Bank Cup under coach Robyn Broughtan and became captain in 2003 after Bernice Mene retired from all levels of netball. She previously played for the Otago Rebels in the National Bank Cup in 1998 before changing to Sting in 1999. She has won a National Bank Cup title with the Otago Rebels in 1998 and titles with the Sting in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2nd place in 2005 and 2006. She retired from the Silver Ferns in 2005 and the Southern Sting in 2006. She married Chris Rumball who is also a doctor alongside Lesley and they were previously together since 1999. They currently live in Auckland and own a house in Invercargill.
