Yoko, Khany and their friends are prompted to investigate a swamp region on Vinea where a giant insectoid race using artificial exoskeletons dwells. The first contact results in hostilities, largely due to a misunderstanding on the side of the so-called Titans. Despite the help of Xunk, one of the Titans, Yoko soon finds herself facing the possible destruction of a sentient race.
