On November 2, 2004, Dr. Chiao voted in the 2004 United States presidential election from aboard the International Space Station. This made him the first American to vote in a presidential election while in space.

Is he the first people to cast a vote in space? And who's up there to monitor that voting booth to make sure it was not Laika who cast that vote? :) -- Toytoy 11:52, Nov 3, 2004 (UTC)
