Talk:Leonard Shlain

[edit] Copyright violation
I removed the middle section because it was taken straight from anther page (or two)[1] [2]. This is against wikipedia rules. Tartan 15:40, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
- just noticed that most of the page is taken from other pages but swapped around slightly... Tartan 15:43, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, it uses terminology and phrasing that matches the style of an author instead of an encyclopedic style. I listened to a lecture by Dr. Shlain today, and it sounds like things he would write. Is there any way you (or the original editor) could rewrite that section and clean it up? Vuongc 07:44, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Off-topic warning
The bulk of this article seems to talk about something from one of Shlain's books instead of talking about Shlain himself. I almost looks copied from somewhere else. The secion should be rewritten. Dr. Submillimeter 19:00, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Review comments
Some suggestions for improvement as the article is expanded:
- Template:Infobox Scientist should be added
- Photograph should be added from a source with a free license
- Needs copy edit and wikification; in particular the balance of the article seems to need attention
- Basic biographical information required, including date of birth
- Lead needs expanding and should emphasise reasons for notability of subject
- Expansion of article to refocus on the subject required
- References should be added, preferably in the inline format
