He's notable because of all the conquistadors he converted to Christianity (truely, not just the ostensible Christianity of rest the conquistadors). He worked to convert the natives on Hispaniola and Cuba, eventually settling permanently in Cuba. Biodoc546 23:53, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
